Bio
Veronika Ruello is a classical soprano with a warm and powerful voice.
Ms. Ruello's repertoire includes music from Monteverdi and Mozart to Berio as well as the music of the contemporary composers. She made her professional debut in Germany in 2019 at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg Opernfestival in the Georg Quander’s production “Damit die Zeit nicht stehen bleibt" with the music of Arnold Schoenberg with Ensemble Ascolta under the direction of Nicholas Kok.
In 2021, she successfully obtained a Master of Arts in Classical Singing with the famous contemporary music expert and mezzo-soprano Luisa Castellani at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (CSI) in Lugano, Switzerland. Then she graduated from CSI with the Master in Pedagogy degree with the full-tuition Scholarship with Barbara Zanichelli in 2023.

In 2023, Veronika Ruello won the Second Prize at the VERÃO CLÁSSICO - Academia Internacional de Música de Lisboa.
Since 2019, Ms. Ruello has lived and studied in Switzerland. She actively collaborated with the Ensemble 900presente under the direction of Arturo Tamayo: Parasha in “Mavra" by Igor Stravinsky for the Radio of Switzerland (RSI) in video streaming, the solo soprano role at an extremely difficult oratorio “Threni” of Igor Stravinsky in Lugano Cathedral and the solo soprano role in the Epitafio n. 1 by Luigi Nono at the Auditorio Stelio Molo for the RSI.

Ms. Ruello was invited together with the guitarist Mattia Fogato to perform 6 Folk Songs by Britten at the prestigious music venue Lugano Arte e Cultura (Matinées Musicales at LAC).
In the 2021/2022 season Ms. Ruello performed a song cycle “Myricae” written by a contemporary composer Franco Cesarini with the United Soloists Orchestra under Alexey Mikhaylenko at the Teatro Sociale Bellinzona.

Veronika Ruello (Prosypkina) was born in St Petersburg in 1994. She started to study music at the age of 6 at the Ludmila Stolpovskich’s Choir Studio where she took vocal, piano, guitar and music theory lessons. Then she entered the Children’s Choir of Television and Radio of St Petersburg with whom a Solo Album was recorded. She started to take vocal lessons with Natalia Latysheva and in 2015 she won a prestigious Prize of the Third International Competition of the Young Vocalists by Elena Obrastsova in St Petersburg.
At the age of 18 years old Veronika entered the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers (prof. Anna Kiknadze) and at the same time she had been performing many times on the stage of the St Petersburg Philharmonia, where the whole role of Lauretta (Puccini, Gianni Schicchi) and many Baroque arias were performed.
Ms. Ruello actively participates in the sacred music concerts, such as the 5th Mass of Franz Schubert and “Requiem” by Gabriel Fauré under the direction of Mark Kölliker (2019, 2022). She also did many chamber music recitals in Italy and Switzerland with the organists Ismaele Gatti, Riccardo Quadri e Riccardo Tiberia. In the summer of 2022 she participated in the Sobrio Festival performing a German chamber music repertoire with the clarinetist Alexander Sternat and pianist Stefano Scalise.
In order to refine different types of repertoire she has attended the masterclasses with celebrated artists such as Natalie Dessay, Ana Camelia Stefanescu, Inva Mula, Élizabeth Vidal, Alessandro Svab and Elena Filipova.
